 THE VICTORY NEWSLETTER

Late Summer 2010

The Victory Rally in Stonewall, MB this year was a great success. We watched storms all around us; even watched a funnel cloud but we had no rain! Many non-believers came out to race and eat with us. We were able to build bridges into relationships. Just as was our aim! They see Jesus in us and we share life with them.

Our evangelism teams have been out, west to Kelowna BC & back and then two weeks later to the big Sturgis SD rally. We have been fulfilling the great commission. We have been on the highways and byways and all the corners in between!

In the midst of this, we are in the beginnings of our Seven-year Ministry Plan of expanding to start more Bondslave Motorcycle Club chapters, (our evangelism team on wheels) and planting four churches.

This July was the start of number one.  Brad and Tannis Gamble have left Winnipeg for Kelowna to start a BMC chapter and a house church.  They are really missed here. They had such an impact on many of us here. We have begun. Please pray for them.

Our Big House is up for sale.  But honestly there have not been any offers. Please pray for a buyer to come. The monies from its sale will be directed to a down payment for a HRS Ministry building.  This building will house our HRS evening congregation and be the place for the launch of our next church plant, using the morning time slot.  We have selected Kevin and Vanessa Kisilowsky to pastor that congregation.  Kevin has often ministered at HRS and has shown the heart and ability to gather people. It will be two churches in one building aiming at two people groups.

And then, in the summer 2011, in Brandon, Manitoba, we are starting a plant with Sean and Laurie Jennings.  Sean is a graduate of our college, and was just ordained this June. He is presently in ministry in Regina. Sean was raised up in HRS, and likely will produce a ministry similar to this.

Now it is all a very big vision and we think we have structured this very carefully.  Our purpose is to press into more communities and reach the bikers and the marginalized people of those local communities.

HRS aims (and always has aimed) at the people of society that are largely unevangelized.  These are the marginalized people that many do not see. We have been very missional in our approach. My spell checker does not like these words!? But the action of the words works and is a reality of who we are.

The upside is that we are so satisfied that we are making an impact and meeting people at their point of need.  Most Sundays we are over 120 people.  Our men’s program is always full.  We see a positive effect on the community of our food bank and clothing exchange.  People tell us that we are making a difference in their lives, so we celebrate that.

If you want a place to invest in the furtherance of the Kingdom, this is where we are.  Please pray for our vision.  Pray for Brad and Tannis.  If you want to see the plan specifics, let me know and I will email them to you.
