We started in May 1989, as Bondslave Motorcycle Club. Its purpose was to reach the hardcore bikers. As time went on we realized that we were reaching the marginalized peoples of our society. Hence to meet the demands we founded HRS. Our mission was no longer just evangelism, but to disciple, nurture, and equip these people to reach back into society to other marginalizedgroups of people.

Our methods and thought has been described as “missional”, “culture relevant”, “gen x thinking”, “post modern” or simply “lifestyle evangelism”. All the terms that have been used to label our “just do it” way of reaching and ministering to people. We had no terms to describe our methods or procedures; we just did and still do what comes natural to us. What ever your church experience has been will not prepare you for HRS.

In the fellowship of Apostolic Church of Pentecost of Canada (see our links) we found a fellowship that understood our mission and our methods. God has us in the right place at the right time.

What started as a “biker church” out of BMC has grown to attract families and younger people. Their backgrounds are varied and the common theme is that we all want life and church that is real and relevant. At HRS you are accepted for where you are at and for who you are. It is ok just to be yourself at HRS and let the changes come as we grow naturally in Jesus.
